Immension release new video!‏

Immension - Promo Shot
Flaunting speed slabs of melodic metal and riffs as dense as the basaltic layer, ‘Immension’ have an incessant intensity and are geared to parade their message to everyone within ear shot. The Sheffield metal crew have pooled influences from In Flames and Metallica, and have crafted a sound that is primed for ascendant in 2013. The band release their self-titled Ep on 7th January and they have just released the video for ‘Shadow Of Yourself’, check it out at and look up the band’s page for live dates over at

Born out of Sheffield in South Yorkshire, the very original seeds of Immension were sown over five years ago when founding members, vocalist/guitarist Jake Kearsley and lead axeman Tim Dolan, started to trade riffs with one another. For the next few years Immension struggled, largely due to a series of unreliable members serving as their rhythm section. However, all of this changed last year when tub-thumper, Jonni Sowter, and bassist, Hasan Ahmed, entered the fray and everything finally fell into place for the emerging metal crew.

With a solid line-up in place, the band soon began to play a barrage of shows throughout the country, ripping up stages from London to Leeds, and everywhere in between. Now having honed their live sound, Immension hit the studio to lay down tracks for their self-titled debut EP, and it’s a hidden gem.

The forthcoming EP takes shape with the pounding riffage of ‘Shadow Of Yourself’; a potent opener for the Yorkshire metallers, the track suitably displays the four piece’s impressive dual prong guitar attack and dynamism. Next, the high velocity fret-flurries and Slayer-esque beatings of ‘Lost & Forgotten’ go straight for the throat, while the slow-burning ‘In Vain’ further highlights the quartet’s guile. Armed with a strong and stout EP, it’s evident that the Sheffield metallers are poised for a heady climb next year.

EP TRACKLISTING: 1. Shadow Of Yourself; 2. Lost & Forgotten; 3. In Vain.

BAND MEMBERS: Jake Kearsley – Vocals / Guitar; Tim Dolan – Lead Guitar; Jonni Sowter – Drums; Hasan Ahmed – Bass Guitar.

FOR FANS OF: In Flames, Metallica, Arch Enemy.

RAVEN LORD Announces New Guitarist‏

Multinational heavy metal weights RAVEN LORD have announced the addition of guitarist George Karafotis (Vermillion Days, Operation X) to the group’s ranks.

George Karafotis comes from Thessaloniki, Greece. Born in March 1993, he started taking guitar lessons at the age of 11 by guitarmaster Laki Ragazas (Devil’s Train, Mystic Prophecy). The band states, “We just started working with George and things are running smooth. He is a team player and definitely fits the bill for RAVEN LORD; this guy got music and metal in his blood“.

There will be even more information about George the coming weeks in the new band member profile sections on our official website.

Stefan Lindholm (VINDICTIV) – Lead Guitar
George Karafotis (VERMILLION DAYS, OPERATION X) – Guitar
Jamie Mallender (TONY MARTIN) – Bass
Pontus Larsson (VINDICTIV, FIRECRACKER) – Keyboards

RAVEN LORD’s debut album “Descent To The Underworld” was recently mixed by Fredrik Nordström (At The Gates, Arch Enemy, Nightrage, In Flames, Dream Evil and Opeth) of Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden and mastered by Maor Applebaum (Sepultura, Yngwie Malmsteen, Halford, Adrenaline Mob) at Maor Applebaum Mastering in Los Angeles, California, USA.

RAVEN LORD is a sextet of quality musicians with backgrounds steeped in heavy metal history. Unashamedly wearing their heavy metal roots on their leather studded sleeves, RAVEN LORD combine the classic metal feel of the past with a modern edge of the present. Thunderous bass lines, pounding drums with razor sharp riffs blend with distinct heavy, melodic vocals to create powerful and memorable songs. The music that RAVEN LORD brings to you simply stuns – no pretensions – just one hell of a metal entertainment.

With the album in the pipeline, the band is already attracting attention from labels and heavyweight producers who are all eager to get involved. RAVEN LORD are priming themselves to deliver the most metallic carnage across the globe.

A Silent Escape are now prepared to make their mark on the UK scene. Meshing the hard-hitting delivery of ‘Comeback Kid’ and ‘In Flames’ with the song-writing sensibilities of punk-rockers ‘Millencolin’, A Silent Escape are set to push open the envelope in the shape of their stunning self-titled debut album, out 4th June through all digital stores.

A Silent Escape stem from the small Swedish town of Falkenberg (which is also the unsuspecting home to the likes of Sonic Syndicate, Venerea, and The Unguided, amongst others). Formed just over two years ago, the beginnings of A Silent Escape can be tracked back to a band formerly know as ‘Union Square’, where current A Silent Escape vocalist/bassist Patrick Stenborg, Nic Antoni Lindqvist (Drums in ASE) and Joel Nilsson (Vocals/Lead Guitar also in ASE) played alongside each other. Eventually the band went on to split from their major label deal with Warners, citing “creative differences”. Ultimately, Union Square’s brave decision to stick to their creative path became the unravelling of the band. However, rising from the ashes of Union Square, A Silent Escape were formed in 2010 when Pat, Nic and Joel hooked up with fellow school friend Eddie (Guitar). Wanting to put the fun back into music, the newly formed quartet began to intensely write together, hiring a nearby rehearsal space, and beginning to fall back into the enjoyment of playing music again.

Fast forward to eighteen months, and the energetic four-piece are now armed with a potent full length self-titled album that pushes the musical boundaries and is even more challenging than their previous work. The record boots off with an explosive opener in the shape of ‘Blackhole Gravity’, which bursts wildly from the traps with gripping dynamics and a colossal refrain. The track is a powerful slab of alluring high velocity metallic punk-rock that aptly opens proceedings. Next up, is the lusciously melodic ‘Final Chapter’ which has a captivating cadence fans will adore. Another key highlight of the record is the gargantuan ‘Smalltown Outcast’ that comes over you like an earth-shattering tidal wave. From start to finish, A Silent Escape have produced a truly engaging record that is enterprising, beefy and jam-packed with killer hooks!
