Hundred Days Online Promo shot

South West rock crew ‘HUNDRED DAYS’ have just released their new video for the track ‘Whatever Happened To You’.

The video single is out now and is taken from the band’s acclaimed album ‘Mission Exodus’.

The video can be viewed now at http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=x9zJ4OBxbSE and check out the band’s Facebook at www.facebook.com/hundreddays

Formed in 2007 and born in Yeovil, Somerset, Hundred Days unleash a sound that flirts cunningly between classic rock and heavy metal. Drawing from everyone from ‘Slash’ and ‘Guns ‘n’ Roses’, to ‘Led Zeppelin’ and ‘AC/DC’, Hundred Days offer a unique take on the heavy rock genre.

The hotly tipped trio have been busy making new friends and gaining more fans. With a strong gigging work ethic which has seen the band play the length and breadth of the UK (including a series of high-profile festival appearances throughout the South-West area, as well as supporting Hugh Cornwell, from ‘The Stranglers’), there’s no stopping Hundred Days as they move up through the gears. Added to the fact that the threesome have recently released their brand new album ‘Mission Exodus’, which racked up widespread national press recognition and rampant coverage throughout the underground, the sky is the limit for these South-westerners.

Hundred Days now plough forward again with their video single ‘Whatever Happened To You’, which is lifted from Mission Exodus. ‘Whatever Happened To You’ is a killer blues rock cut that tips its cap to ‘Queens Of The Stoneage’ and those beard kings, ‘ZZ Top’. The track is also backed by a cool ‘quirky’ video that warrants your attention. The single is available from 4th March and can be accessed at http://hundreddays.co.uk/mp3s/Mission_Exodus/Hundred_Days-Whatever_Happened_To_You.mp3 .

CRY HAVOC ‘New Life EP’, out 15th April.‏

High-Octane UK Metal rockers ‘Cry Havoc’ unleash their greatly anticipated debut EP ‘New Life’ on Monday 15th April 2013, available through all good online outlets.

Cry Havoc Online Promo ShotFlaunting an invigorating fusion of heavy metal, crafted by the power of Pantera, the swagger of Skid Row, and the attitude of Guns ’N’ Roses in their prime, Cry Havoc are here to spread their own concoction of Heavy Metal to the masses in 2013!
Born and bred in British South, Cry Havoc are a group of degenerates dead set on conquering the UK heavy metal scene. Comprised of the vocal power of Gavin Bolt, Tristan Gaskell cutting up guitar riffs, Chris ‘Crypt’ Lawman supplying Rhythm Guitar, Billy Kirk on bass, and Eliott Lipscombe pounding on the beats, the energetic five-piece have already created quite a stir for their raucous live shows, as Metal Hammer reviewer, Dom Lawson, concurs “Frontman Gav is running from one side of the stage to the other, bare-chested and swivel-eyed, and generally going berserk. [They] are treating their performance as if it were a headlining slot at Wembley.” Further, commenting about the bands’ recent explosive sold-out set at Hammerfest III, Lawson adds that “Cry Havoc churned out a splendidly raw and brutish din”. Cry Havoc’s live shows have also been described as an explosion of the senses, bringing the band to be described as the ‘illegitimate child of Pantera and Guns N’ Roses’. Highly driven on Sex, Jägermeister, and Rock N’ Roll, they own the stage—and no one can prise it from them!
With the live side of Cry Havoc firmly accomplished, and with recent successful supports with Gus G’s Firewind, The Dirty Youth, The Defiled, Revoker, Malefice, Warrior Soul, Jettblack, Voodoo Six, and Romeo Must Die, the metal rockers decided to hit the recording studio to begin work on their much anticipated debut record. The band headed to the renowned Nott-In-Pill Studio to lay down four tracks with the prestigious producers Martyn “Ginge” Ford and Matthew Bond, who have previously worked with Bullet For My Valentine, Slipknot, Trivium, and Skindred. Cry Havoc came out the studio armed with their stunning debut EP ‘New Life’. Loaded with crushing riffage capable of bursting arteries, the record is ram-packed with contagious hooks, driving rhythms, and ravenous riffs, and is an absolute must for any true heavy metal fan!

VELVET STAR to release ‘All Or Nothing’ on 29th October.

VELVET STAR ANNOUNCE KILLER NEW EP WITH A UK TOUR IN THE WORKS!

Yorkshire Rocksters ‘Velvet Star’ are not the easiest band to pigeon hole. By striking a heady mix of infectious Rock ‘n’ Roll, pitching the vigour of Iggy Pop with the guile of The Wildhearts and the attitude of Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Star are primed to take their ballsy concoction of Alt-Rock to the masses this Autumn in form of their new EP ‘All Or Nothing’, out 29th October…..

Loaded up on grit and angst, Velvet Star started life back in 2007 when brothers Danny Jones (Vocals) & Corey Jones (Bass) set about with a manifesto of forming a band that would hopefully parallel the impact of early Manic Street Preachers. As most stories go, the road to rock stardom is rarely a smooth one. And so along the way, the band’s route had its share of potholes and pitfalls, from financial set-backs to the unsettling revolving door of guitarists. Danny comments “This is a ruthless, grind your knuckles to the bone business & we’ve had a few casualties”. Despite all this, the determined rockers have had their spoils of success. The band have been featured on Classic Rock’s cover mount CD, penned a deal with Rocksector Records for the release of their debut album ‘In The Face Of Vanity’, which garnered national critical praise from Big Cheese and Classic Rock, and have extensively toured throughout the UK playing with Faster Pussycat, The Treatment, Star Rats, GUN, and Vains of Jenna, to name just a few.

In the Spring of 2012, Velvet Star mapped out an agenda to release a new EP in line with a hefty supporting tour, which once again resulted in the need to regroup and shift personnel. The band solidified their existing line-up of Danny & Corey Jones (on Vocals and Bass respectively) and Ginna (Drums), and made the unit even stronger with the addition of Lead Guitarist Mewsy (Ex SilverJet) and new guitarist Robbie G (Ex Slash Vegas). The rejuvenated five-some soon nailed a batch of fresh tunes and recorded their new EP ‘All or Nothing’ at Axis Studios with Matt Elliss (Black Spiders) at the controls.

Now with renewed thirst and hunger, Velvet Star are back and stronger than ever. The energetic five-piece release their blistering new EP ‘All or Nothing’ this October, and it’s an absolute belter. Bursting with colossal choruses and sledge hammer riffs and spewing with fiery attitude, the record is sure to set a true bench mark for the Brit rock n’ rollers. Look out too for a lengthy jaunt throughout the UK in support of the record.

HUNDRED DAYS to release ‘Mission Exodus’, on 22nd October‏

South West Rocksters ‘Hundred Days’ drop their new album ‘Mission Exodus’

through Rogue Rock Records via digital stores on Monday 22nd October.

Spawned in Yeovil, Somerset, Hundred Days plough forward expressing a sound that impressively rides the thin line between heavy metal and classic rock. Garnering influence from contemporary custodians such as ‘30 Seconds To Mars’ and ‘Slash’, through to colossal classic kings ‘AC/DC’ and ‘Led Zeppelin’, Hundred Days display their own stripes, resolving to etch a different slant on the heavy rock genre.

Although the band were originally formed in the Summer of 2007, the roots of Hundred Days stem back to the late nineties where the current line-up of the band played under the guise ‘X-Teller’, along with a different singer. After a series of successful UK tours and a hatful of official releases, ‘X-Teller’ split. After taking a year off, three of the four, decided to reform under a new moniker and with lead guitarist Stuart Curtin stepping up to take over the vocals duties and with bassist Simon Evans and drummer Ryan Leese resuming their posts as the rhythm section. The galvanized trio chose an uncharted approach to mould and form their brand new set and with renewed vigor Hundred Days were officially born.

Now fast forward to the present day and the industrious trio have nationally released two records, have played the length and breadth of the UK (including a series of high-profile festival appearances throughout the South-West area), and have supported Hugh Cornwell from legendary punks, ‘The Stranglers’. Hundred Days are now poised to break the national scene with their third release, in the shape of their explosive new album ‘Mission Exodus’.

‘Mission Exodus’ is Hundred Days’ biggest release to date; the album flows with epic production underpinned by subtle textures and intricately woven guitar parts. The album manages to shine as a modern rock record while still tipping it’s cap to a host of iconic artists from the power and precision of Metallica to the classic cool of Guns ‘N Roses and Led Zeppelin. ‘Mission Exodus’ is stacked with fourteen full length tracks and features two astute cover versions including 80’s mega hit ‘Power of Love’  by Huey Lewis and The News, and a live version of The Wings’ classic ‘Live and Let Die’. Also look out for a series of UK shows penned for the Autumn period.
