COILGUNS (feat. 3 members of THE OCEAN) releases split EP with First full length announcement

Unconventional power trio (Drums, Guitar and vocals), Swiss standard bearer of a new wave of chaotic-post-hardcore COILGUNS have released their 3rd ep in the shape of a split album with german hardcore-trashers NVRVD.  Coilguns’s members, more known as all being part of German proggers THE OCEAN recorded their share of this ep when they were touring Australia with The Ocean.
The EP is available in a fancy limited 10” vinyl and, as the band habits, in a deluxe hand-made cd (homemade silk-screen printing, handnumbered, sealwaxed). To listen to the full thing:
Never resting and after a summer of good support slots w/ Baroness, Norma Jean and Nasum, the guys are currently writing their first full length that will be released in February 2013 followed by a full European tour. Coilguns will hit the Studio in about a month.
“This time even vocals will be recorded live and we are flying over guest musicians from other bands to play and record live with us. We’ll have plenty of other instruments at hands and have only booked 4 days of studio for about 50 minutes of music.” comments frontman and crowd killer Louis Jucker.
The band will slowly starts to announce guests and eventually the label who will release this first album. To get a hint of what the new album will sound like, you can visit their youtube channel (www.youtube.com/coilguns666) where the band is sharing their creative-rehearsal process before entering the studio”

BLEAK FALLS NATIONALLY RELEASE DEBUT EP WITH NEW VIDEO IN THE WORKS

South-coast riff-tyrants Bleak Falls stake their claim by unleashing debut release ‘Another Rainy Day’ on Monday 10th December through all digital stores.

Imagine the Deftones and Cancer Bats having a bar fight to Nirvana blasting on the jukebox, and you are somewhere close to the engaging sounds of Bleak Falls. Formed during the later part of 2011, the Sussex melodic hardcore fivesome display a sound that brims with earnest emotion and broody atmosphere. Infused with thoughtful depth, raw power, and drive, their songs will undoubtedly sweep you along for a killer ride.

So far, the south-coast quintet have enjoyed a fantastic year. Having already been highly touted by Front Magazine, and through widespread shows throughout the south coast and London, the five-piece have amassed a growing army of fans. In passing, Bleak Falls have shared stages with Landscapes, The Long Haul, Isolated, Honour Is Dead, If Heroes Should Fail, and Set Your Sails. To date, the band’s growth has been impressive.

Bleak Falls now charge forward with the nationwide release of their debut EP ‘Another Rainy Day’, which is slated for a December launch date. The record instantly takes flight with visceral guitarscapes before the grimy metallic-punk of ‘Morning Light’ grabs you by the scruff of the neck. ‘Chapter Eighteen’ tips its cap to the low-slung groove of Deftones and the brawling rage of The Cancer Bats, where future single ‘Dear Brother’ showcases not only the band’s maturity and melancholic slant, but also their budding diversity. Lastly, ‘Pass A Promise’ closes the EP with another powerful chunk of snarly in your face melodic hardcore. Plug in and soak it up; these guys are set to rise in 2013!

MONUMENTS to release single as a fundraiser for cancer sufferer’s treatment

Monuments will release ‘Memoirs’ single on 20 October to raise funds for cancer sufferer’s treatment

Monuments will be selling the previously unreleased track ‘Memoirs’ as a special single from 20 October, to raise money for the treatment of a close friend of the band, who has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer.
Pseudomyxoma Peritonei, or PMP, is a cancer of the appendix and is so rare, that it can only be treated by a small number of specialists, none of whom are in the UK. Treatment must be sought internationally and the costs are likely to exceed 10s of thousands of pounds.
Check out the Memoirs trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3S28R8tHWZI
Swanney, Bassist Explains: “Hi everyone, We will be releasing Memoirs via bandcamp as of 20th October. All proceeds will be going to our good friend Laura, who recently found out she has a condition called Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (or PMP), a rare form of cancer of the appendix that effects less than one in a million people. We will be releasing Memoirs to raise money for her as there are very few people in the world who are able to treat this condition and none are in the UK due to its rarity. She will have to travel abroad for the treatment and it will be extremely expensive. There will be a minimum donation of £2 for the track, however it’ll be possible to give as much as you want, so please give generously. We would like to give a big shout out to Neema Askari, Joe Garret, John Sprich, James Monteith, Mel Schmidt, Steve Joh and everyone at Century Media for making this possible so quickly, Thank you.”
The band would also like to raise awareness of this condition as it is often misdiagnosed due to its extreme rarity. For further information please read below.
The track will be available to buy from 20 October online at the band’s bandcamp, and physical copies available on from the merch desk on the Euroblast tour at all the shows:

EP ‘A Favour For A Stranger’ on Monday 3rd December.

Formed in 2009 in the far reaches of the South West, Circle of Reason are an Alt-Rock, Prog band who’s sound calls to mind the carefully layered webby depths of ‘Smashing Pumpkins’, meshed with the accessibility of ‘Silverchair’ at the peak of their powers. Acutely marrying thoughtful, visceral guitar parts, pounding drums, and warm, alluring vocals, they create something sweepingly fast-paced and melodic that is at once compelling and highly irresistible.

Their music is a potent calling for fans of Smashing Pumpkins, Muse, Silverchair, and Queens of The Stone Age.

The band now release a brand new 3 track EP entitled ‘A Favour For A Stranger’ this December. Two of the included tracks, ‘Chasing the Sun’ and ‘Sea of Voices’ have already garnered attention, having been previously released as video singles, receiving airplay on Kerrang! TV, Scuzz, and Lava TV.

The remaining track, “Silver Scene”, will also be released as a video single in conjunction with the EP; check it out now at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCdR7AOG8s0 .

Comprised of hypnotic and supremely orchestrated guitar riffs, crashing drums, and steady pulsing rhythms, ‘A Favour For A Stranger’ is primed to be a sure-fire crowd pleaser, well deserving of the plaudits and praise it is poised to receive.
