COLD RUSH announces new singer‏

German electro/industrial metallers COLD RUSH have announced the addition of new singer MICHAEL SCHINKEL (ex Eternal Flame, Stormhammer) to the group’s ranks.

COLD RUSH is currently bunkered down in a studio hard at work on its second album “AMOKKOMA“. Three songs feat. Matthias Kupka (Ermergency Gate) on vocals; incl. a KRUPPS cover song.

Dark, scary, stomping and mechanical just a few tags to the sound of COLD RUSH, ready to enter the gloomy fields of electronic hard beats and gothic metal sounds. Laid on machine-like rhythms, driving guitars and pounding basses dominate the sound of COLD RUSH. Crowned with massive hardcore-like vocals this breed presents itself as stylistic continuation of 90s industrial bands.

Line-Up: Michael Schinkel – Vocals, K.L. – Guitars, Ramirez – Bass, Flo – Drums, Wutzl – Guitars

RAVEN LORD Post First Episode Video Podcast

Multinational heavy metal band RAVEN LORD are broadcasting the first episode of their podcast on YouTube. With the title RAVEN LORD TV comes an introduction episode that explains the beginning of the band as well as answers questions to the current status. Csaba Zvekan (Killing Machine, Sardonyx, Emergency) singer and founder for the band RAVEN LORD talks about the current line up, pre and post production and preparation for the coming up tour and festivals in 2013. The video also contains a little “sneak peek” music of the recently recorded debut album “Descent to the Underworld“. The video can be streamed below.

Details of live dates, including some high-profile shows for the Summer, are expected to be announced soon.

RAVEN LORD just recently added Joe Stump (HolyHell, Reign of Terror) as their lead guitarist to their ranks. The band is in the process of securing a new record deal with a view to a release towards the end of the year.

RAVEN LORD recently tapped Fredrik Nordström of Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden to mix their album. Nordström is a well-known producer and sound engineer who has previously worked with such acts as AT THE GATES, ARCH ENEMY, NIGHTRAGE, IN FLAMES, DREAM EVIL and OPETH. The CD mixdown took place the end of August 2012. It was then mastered by Maor Appelbaum who also did work for bands like Sepultura, Halford, Yngwie Malmsteen, Angra and Dokken.

Unashamedly wearing their heavy metal roots on their leather-studded sleeves, RAVEN LORD “combine the classic metal feel of the past with the fresh aggression of the present,” according to a press release. “Thunderous bass lines, pounding drums and explosive riffs blend with distinct heavy, melodic vocals to create driving and memorable songs.”

RAVEN LORD is:

Csaba Zvekan (KILLING MACHINE, SARDONYX, EMERGENCY) – Vocals
Joe Stump (HOLYHELL, REIGN OF TERROR) – Lead Guitar
George Karafotis (VERMILLION DAYS, OPERATION X) – Guitar
Jamie Mallender (TONY MARTIN) – Bass
Lawrence “Larry” Paterson (BLAZE BALEY, STUKA SQUADRON) – Drums
[to be announced] – Keyboards

ALL SHE WROTE to stir up the country with debut single ‘Weathered’, out 26th November‏

UK ROCK BEASTS ALL SHE WROTE RELEASE DEBUT SINGLE AND PREPARE FOR NATIONAL LAUNCH!

London newcomers All She Wrote spew out an engaging slab of heavy alt-rock in way of their debut video single ‘Weathered’, which is available from all digital platforms from Monday 26th November.

Bursting out of the London Boroughs, All She Wrote were conceived at the tail-end of 2011 and consist of Connor Crooks (Vocals), Marc Smith (Drums), Jonny Page (Lead Guitar) and Tommy Shillibeer (Rhythm Guitar). These finely tuned individuals strive to concoct and deliver a sound that is distinctive, bold, and enticing, and they hit the mark. With a multitude of influences stemming from Bring Me The Horizon and Young Guns, to The Blackout, All She Wrote spit out an appealing meld of post-hardcore and alternative rock that will reward fans old and new.

Despite their short life span, the band have already played a series of successful shows in the nation’s capital, as well as racking up dates throughout the South East. However, with the national launch of the band’s debut single ‘Weathered’, which suitably showcases the young scamps uncanny craft for heavy guitar parts and melodic vocals, the band are primed to rise to a national level. Added to the fact that the London rockers are also set to hit the studio to record their debut EP and have plans for a UK tour next year, 2013 will be an epic year for the youthful upstarts.

A view from above” will be the second album from DEADEND IN VENICE. The music sounds more grown up and the lyrics are aiming again to interpersonal issues but also other worldly conflicts. The metal part and influences in the music have increased significantly but it doesn’t harm the catchiness of the songs in any way. “A view from above“, the logical development of the sound from DEADEND IN VENICE!

You can be a part of that vision – just take a look at PledgeMusic and preorder the album or other very interesting packages to help in financing the recording.

Introducing 6008 Days.

Ex-Secret Sphere singer Roberto Messina has introduced his new project, rock band 6008 Days.

Officially announcing his split from Secret Sphere, Messina’s and his new band are working on their debut album with first single/video “The Bad Day” due in October. The video has been made in collaboration with video-artist-director Antonio Masiello.

6008 Days is made up of experienced musicians (ex-Secret Sphere/ Alkemyst – Lucky Bastards members) with years of published discography and international tours between them. With a sound as energetic and vibrant in style as the likes of Alterbridge, Shinedown, and Foo Fighters, 6008 Days is a band ready to push the boundaries of rock.

Roberto “Ramon” Messina parted ways with Italian power metallers Secret Sphere   in March of this year  due to musical differences. He spent 12 years with the band releasing six successful albums in that time.

Secret Sphere issued the following statement upon Messina’s departure:
We are very thankful for what Roberto did for the band during all these years, we are friends before musicians, he was with us since the beginning and the fans are really closed to his voice. The split happened during the recordings of the seventh album, but in a friendly way we wish Roberto all the best for his future.
