RAVEN LORD Announces New Keyboardist and Drummer‏

Multinational metallers RAVEN LORD have announced the addition of keyboardist “Pontus Larsson (Vindictiv, Firecracker)” and drummer “Henrik Hedman (Celestial Decay, Last Kingdom)” to the group’s ranks.

RAVEN LORD are rapidly gaining a reputation for being the most exciting new Heavy Metal band on the planet. As they near completion of their debut album, they are ready to unveil two new heavyweight band members. The line-up features: Csaba Zvekan – Lead Vocals, Stefan Lindholm – Lead Guitar, Jamie Mallender – Bass Guitar, Pontus Larsson – Keyboards, Henrik Hedman – Drums

Jamie Mallender (Bass), “Make no mistake, we have made an album that’s gonna smack you in the face with both fists! This is the record that has been missing from the Metal scene for far too many years. But, despite the obvious anger and power of this music, there’s a lot of melody and harmony in there and we wanted to bring in a keyboard player that loved Metal, to compliment the melodic side, but not water things down or get too Wakeman on our asses. Meet Pontus Larsson, who has filled this role perfectly, he’s done exactly what we wanted him to and we are absolutely thrilled to have him onboard.”

Pontus Larsson (Vindictiv, Firecracker), “I was in the studio recording an album with Vindictiv when I was asked to joinRaven Lord. I was kind of busy, but after I listened to the songs and checked out the band members it only took me 1 second to say yes! I’m proud to be a part of the band! It’s great to play with all these talented musicians. See ya out there! Rock on! The Lord of keys!”

The band has also been searching for a world class, powerhouse drummer, with the right chops and staggering technical ability to make a truly devastating rhythm section statement with this album. Enter Henrik Hedman, from Järvsö, a small village in the southern part of “Norrland”- Sweden, who has previously played with the bass guitar virtuoso Magnus Rosen.

Overjoyed at the new addition, Csaba Zvekan (Vocals) had this to say, “Henrik Hedman’s future is pretty clear he will be a big player in the music industry. We are fortunate to have him on board withRaven Lord!”

Henrik Hedman (Celestial Decay, Last Kingdom) is just as excited about the alliance, “I feel a great honor and exaltation at having been invited to the Raven Lord family. My fellow musicians are all wonderful people, extremely talented in their art and the creativity is overwhelming! No bullshit, this is an old dream come true! The Raven has spread its wings, and it’s heading your way! The Raven Lord of Thunder.”

RAVEN LORD are currently adding the finishing touches to the first album. and brace yourself for a killer of a Metal album heading your way soon!

WHITE CLOUDS & GUNFIRE to release debut EP ‘Zero To Hero’ on 15th October

Hi-tempo Melodic Rock crew ‘White Clouds & Gunfire’ set loose their much anticipated debut EP ‘Zero To Hero’, on Monday 15th October and hit the road this October in support of the record.

White Clouds & Gunfire explode onto the UK scene with their debut EP ‘Zero To Hero’. Jam-packed with a heady mix of blistering tunes and meshed with rampant energy and fiery youth, ‘Zero To Hero’ sets the stage for a swift ascent, aimed to place White Clouds & Gunfire at the forefront of the national scene.

Although the band were formed in 2008 in Peterborough, because they were impeded by member changeovers and a lack of stability, it wasn’t until last year that White Clouds & Gunfire really began to flourish. Featuring Eveline Verdegaal on vocals, Lewis Fountain banging the drums, Rob Woods providing the backbone on bass, Jake shredding on guitar, and now with new boy Ben Scarr (current guitarist with ‘As We Climb’) adding a second guitar to the mix, the band’s sound is even more expansive and burly.

With recent praise from Kerrang!, Soundscape, and Stencil Magazine, and already versed in the art of transit-van touring, where the energetic quintet supported Army Of Freshmen, Sonic Boom Six, OPM, MC Lars, The Hype Theory, and As We Climb, to name just a few, the band show no signs of letting up. WC&G also recently unveiled an exclusive video for ‘Dreams’, a previously unreleased track; the video has racked up over 6000 views on You Tube—a noteworthy feat considering that it was achieved with just fan-based promotion. After locking down an impressive array of new songs and a brand new set, White Clouds & Gunfire now set their sights on an extensive foray of shows throughout the country, penned for November 2012.

White Clouds & Gunfire now move forward with the national release of their debut EP ‘Zero To Hero; already inspiring glowing comparisons to the likes of Four Year Strong, Fall Out Boy, and Funeral For A Friend, the record is an exciting debut offering loaded with melody-drenched refrains, pounding jack hammer beats, and monstrous sing-a-long choruses. White Clouds & Gunfire have sculptured a record that is sure to take the energetic combo to brand new heights.

UK Rock trio Mortdelamer march forward with their mouth-watering mix of razor-sharp and dynamic Alt-Rock. Filled with enticing hooks and soaring guitar passages, the youthful upstarts continue their ascent with a series of UK shows and the release of their spanking new EP ‘Words Within The Wires’, out Monday 1st October 2012.

With a glut of influences stemming from the twisted dynamics and textures of Muse through to the melodic guile and wizardry of Biffy Clyro and Incubus, Mortdelamer have produced an enthralling sound that merges innovative ideas and hooky vocals, all underpinned by thoughtful edgy guitar work and intriguing off-kilter phrasing.

Born out of Swindon, Wiltshire in 2008 and comprised of childhood friends Joe Bishop (Bass Guitar) and Sean Ivens (Drums), along with Claire Sutton (Guitar, Vocals, and Keyboards), the formidable three piece wasted no time mapping out their manifesto. The band soon began to serve their time, not only in the recording studio, but on the road as well. Ever since their inception, Mortdelamer have toured relentlessly throughout the UK for the past four years, racking supports with InMe and Supergrass along the way; the threesome also hit Europe this Summer and have further dates in the pipeline for 2013.

Possessing an impressive recording output, the industrious trio released ‘The Man With Two Heads’ in 2010 and their EP ‘Leech’ last year; both records locked down solid underground support, garnering many new fans for the rising Rocksters. The band now tread untapped ground with their fantastic new EP ‘Words Within The Wires’, recorded by esteemed producer Jonny Renshaw (Devil Sold His Soul, Evita, Deaf Havana); the EP spews out five gigantic cuts from the contagious refrain and fretwork of ‘Pieces and Reasons’ to the dynamically ambient and infectious ‘Searching For Safety’. The progressive trio have gelled together an impressive record that is sure to transcend the underground and reward the Brit-rock crew with well-earned national status.

MORTDELAMER are in the middle of a series of live shows, check out the remaining dates below:

Lay Siege sign with Monarch Records!‏

Northampton based foursome ‘Lay Siege’ have just signed with Monarch Records for a digital release of their blistering debut mini-album ‘Obolus’, which hits stores next month. Naturally, the band are stoked to join the label’s ranks, guitarist Jamie Steadman says “We’re extremely proud to be the latest addition to the Monarch Records family along with some of the most exciting up and coming bands!”.
The band drop ‘Obolus’ on 6th August, and the record is sure to take Lay Siege above the underground. The UK riff sluggers display a sound that has already been described in quarters as “deliciously sludgy” and “full of head-crushing riffs”. The record kicks off in fierce style with new video/single ‘Explorer’ which instantly pummels your ear drums into surrender with brutal riffery laced with impressive song writing dexterity. ‘The Ferryman’ continues in devastatingly savage fashion, spitting out further colossal rhythms that pound right into your grey matter. The intensity carries forward throughout ‘Glitches’ and ‘Wastelands’, where the band’s genuine guile bubbles to the surface. The metal chiefs finish the album with the immense ‘Solitary Confinement’, which loaded to the nines with biting guitar parts and enterprising breakdowns, turns and bends to snarling effect, suitably rounding off the record.
Look out for the band’s spanking new video ‘Explorer’ and check out the quartet in this month’s Rocksound magazine!

Harnessing influences spanning from an array of sources, but largely from punk-rock heroes such as ‘The Clash’, ‘Iggy and the Stooges’, and ‘Patti Smith’, The Duel fuse the strident passion of authentic punk pinned against a modern-day urban backdrop. The band’s sound is as alluring as it is compelling, and springs right up, deserving attention.

Originally born back in 2001 as a formidable duo featuring the engaging vocals of Tara Rez and the creative alchemy of keyboardist/bassist Andy Theirum, the two-piece worked the London scene hard before expanding their line-up and their horizons. The Duel’s very first punk show came when the band supported the mighty ‘Dead Kennedys’. From there, extensive gigging ensued before the UK rockers went into the recording studio in late 2006 to commence work for their debut album ‘Let’s Finish What We Started‘. The record was released in 2007 and in 2009 the band unleashed their follow-up record ‘Childish Behavior’; both albums secured wide national recognition and a slew of new fans. The Duel continued their ascent last year with the release of ‘All Aboard The Crazy Train’, which also garnered widespread acclaim, notching up national reviews with the likes of Viva Le Rock and Big Cheese Magazine.

With healthy punk rock roots and a mighty appetite for taking their sound to the masses, The Duel are well versed in transit-van touring. The mobile quintet have expansively toured throughout the UK, Holland, Finland, Spain, Czech Republic, and Germany; they have also played the UK Rebellion Festival for the past five years, as well as the Rebellion Festival in Austria, Holland, and Italy. The London punkers took centre stage at Skunk Anansie’s and Primal Scream’s after-show parties and also played at The British Invasion Festival in LA. The band were also invited to perform at New York’s legendary CBGB’s and The Continental, just before they permanently closed their doors. Given the vast range and sheer amount of touring that The Duel have undertaken, it is no wonder that along the way they have racked up supports with the likes of: UK Subs, Vice Squad, Angie Bowie, Peter Hook, Buzzcocks, Sham 69, The Vibrators, Dead Kennedys, and Angelic Upstarts, to name just a few.

The Duel are now loaded with a spanking new album entitled ‘Soundtrack To The End Of The World (The Zak Splash Story)’, which carries a hefty collection of punk rock anthems, including the infectious stand out track ‘When The Fire Goes Out’ which is destined to grace radio airwaves. With a full UK tour planned in support of the record for the rest of 2012, the rising London punks are poised to cement their name in the UK punk rock fraternity for many years to come.

CAULS primed to release ‘EP2’ on 24th September‏

Rising Northern progressive foursome ‘Cauls’ nationally unleash their sophomore release ‘EP2’ through Blank Records and all digital outlets on Monday 24th September.

Hailing from the North East of England, Cauls display an ambitious sound that rails against the din of predictability. Evoking glowing comparisons to the likes of At the Drive-In and mewithoutYou, Cauls fuse the aggression of Deftones mixed with the intricate prog-prowess of The Mars Volta; yet the band bear their own markings, evidenced in the shape of their brand new hotly-tipped EP, simply entitled, ‘EP2’.
