Funeral For A Friend Set To Release New EP ‘See You All In Hell’

Funeral For A Friend Set To Release New EP ‘See You All In Hell’ alongside Vinyl Edition of ‘Welcome Home Armageddon’ on 7th November

Funeral For A Friend are set to release a new nine track EP which will serve as an expansion to their ‘Welcome Home Armageddon’ album, released earlier this year. Titled ‘See You All In Hell’, this collection of tracks will include one brand new song ‘High Castles’ as well as a selection of live, acoustic and cover songs. It will be released digitally and on CD on 7th November. The release will also coincide with a vinyl edition of ‘Welcome Home Armageddon’ which will include a CD insert of ‘See You All In Hell’.

The band say of the release – “We wanted to release something special as an add-on to ‘Welcome Home Armageddon’ and we’ve got some different versions of tracks from the record on there in the form of live, acoustic and a remix by our friend LoveGadgetsHateGizmos.  It was a lot of fun to throw in a Strife cover as we’ve all grown up as massive fans of that band.  We were really eager to get back into the studio and write the follow up to ‘Welcome Home Armageddon’ and I think ‘High Castles’ is good indication of where we’ll be taking things on the next record.

“There is extraordinary heart in what they do. And there is much of that here.” – Kerrang!

“FFAF sound like they want to be a band again.” (8 / 10) – Metal Hammer

“Funeral for a Friend have undoubtedly written the strongest album of their career” (9/10) –

“Memory… re-established the post-hardcore hallmarks that the south Wales clan had become famous for, and now the group has improved upon them further. That album was good, but this is better.” – BBC

&U&I announce debut album

&U&I announce debut album ‘Light Bearer’ to be released 21st November.

&U&I will release their debut full length ‘Light Bearer’ through their own Ondryland record label on 21st November, 2011. The band released their first EP ‘Kill the Man that Shot that Man’ in October 2010, picking up great reviews and making themselves known to British Rock press, scoring an Introducing piece in Kerrang!

Produced by Chris Common of These Arms Are Snakes fame, ‘Light Bearer’ was recorded in Cascais, Portugal, apart from the drums which were recorded at Namouche Studios in Lisbon. Namouche was designed by the same people who designed Abbey Road and is in fact dimensionally the same as Abbey Road 2. The rest of the recording took place in Cork House Studios which was based in the basement of Chris Common’s parents’ mansion. Drummer Rob ‘Wiz’ Wisely comments of the process – “Giving ourselves only two weeks to record, we were prepared for a challenge, however it was the smoothest and most stress free recording we have ever done. We had at least two hours in the pool a day and even had two days off. Every night we spent either out at the local bars until the early hours or drinking beers by the pool, so it felt more like a holiday than a recording session.”

The relaxed nature of the recording process hasn’t made the band’s music any less vital or driven and this album is a cohesive meshing of riffery, melody and raw emotion. Wiz comments – “Light Bearer was written with the intention of it being an album rather than just a selection of songs. We wanted the record to flow from start to finish. This was factored into the writing process quite heavily. We tried to step away from using parts that were off kilter or unpredictable for the sake of it, instead using parts which suit the pace and feel of each song. Nothing for the record was preconceived; every part of the album was written between the three of us in our small little practice room.”

Introducing ATTIKA 7

ATTIKA 7 is the new metal band featuring Biohazard’s Evan Seinfeld, Soulfly’s Tony Campos, Walls of Jericho’s Dustin Schoenhofer, and Master Bike Builder, Lead Guitarist and Songwriter Rusty Coones.

ATTIKA 7 is a brand new force in the ever-evolving heavy metal world, featuring Evan Seinfeld, formerly of Biohazard, lead guitarist, songwriter and famed motorcycle builder Rusty Coones, bassist Tony Campos, founding member of Static X, who also currently performs in SoulflyProng,PossessedAsesino and Ministry, and drummer Dustin Schoenhofer from Walls of Jericho and Bury Your Dead fame. ATTIKA 7 will be releasing their debut album later this year and are currently working on their first video for the single ‘Serial Killer’.

The band describes their lyrics and ideology as genuine and conveys a true American outlaw lifestyle. The ATTIKA 7 sound boasts very heavy, down-tuned and melodic harmonies, all the while boasting brutal hooks and grooves. The band draws from several musical influences, including their own additional projects, and has been compared to the likes of Black SabbathMetallicaGodsmackPantera, and White Zombie. The timeless no-frills songwriting of ATTIKA 7 is set apart from today’s homogenized, derivative copycat bands by so many things, but above all: authenticity. The majority of the album was written by lifetime biker and ATTIKA 7 lead guitarist Rusty Coones while serving a seven-year federal prison sentence for a false conviction. Rather than rat on his friends, Rusty used the tension to teach himself how to play guitar in solitary confinement. The passion and street credibility in his lyrics and riffs speak to the underdogs of the world who will not break, will not bend, but stand against forever.

When Rusty called best friend and riding buddy Evan Seinfeld to check in on whether he knew of a singer who could join his band, Evan immediately jumped in without hesitation. Since then, Rusty and Evan have been writing, recording, living and breathing ATTIKA 7 and haven’t looked back.

Evan feels that ATTIKA 7 is the beginning of a new chapter. “As much as Biohazard has been the biggest part of my musical past and my main musical focus for more than two decades, it is time for me to do something new,” states Evan. “It is time for me to cement my musical future. I continue to stand behind the ideals projected in songs I wrote like ‘Down For Life’… and philosophies like standing up for what you believe in no matter what and sticking by your true friends and family to the end! I have so many creative ideas that needed a new home to flourish and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a member of ATTIKA 7!”

“It is time for me to go on to something exciting and fresh to pursue my dreams and expand my horizons in a more positive situation for me,” adds Evan. “Biohazard is a band that I personally conjured and founded in 1987 and helped me to realize many of my dreams, see the world, and connect with many fans everywhere. I hope to keep the memory of Biohazard where it belongs, in a place of dignity and respect!”

The rebellious anthems of ATTIKA 7 speak volumes to the outlaws of society who refuse to compromise, refuse to fit in, refuse to play it safe, or refuse to sell out their beliefs, whatever they may be. ATTIKA 7 is your own personal soundtrack to your badass lifestyle, as you speed past the cops on your beefed up Harley with your middle finger in the air!

The Duel pull influence from a range of arenas, but most notably from punk-rock icons such as ‘The Ramones’, ‘The Clash’ and the ‘Pistols’. Merging the raucous energy of true seventies punk with modern guile, and inserting current socially relevant issues, The Duel’s direct and engaging sound is idyllically melded and nevermore potent, given today’s present economic and social climate.
Originally born back in 2001 as a two-piece comprised of the powerful vocals of Tara Rex and the enticing riffs and grooves of keyboardist / bassist Andy Theirum, the combo cut their teeth on the London scene before expanding their line-up. The band’s very first punk show came when the Duel supported the mighty ‘Dead Kennedys’. Further gigging followed before the punk-rockers headed to the studio in late 2006 to put down tracks for their debut record. The Duel’s debut album ‘Let’s Finish What We Started’, released in 2007 and 2009’s follow-up record ‘Childish Behavior’, both secured wide national recognition and many new fans. The band have also garnered impressive national magazine reviews from the likes of Viva Le Rock and Big Cheese magazine.

With a strong DIY and punk–rock ethos, The Duel are no strangers to transit-van touring. The irrepressible quintet have extensively toured throughout the UK, Finland, Switzerland, Holland, Spain, Czech, and Germany; they have also played the UK Rebellion Festival for the past five years, as well as the Rebellion Festival in Austria, Italy and Holland. The popular punksters took centre stage at Skunk Anansie’s and Primal Scream’s after-show parties and also played at The British Invasion Festival in LA. The band were also invited to perform at New York’s legendary CBGB’s and The Continental, just before they permanently closed their doors. Given the vast range and sheer amount of touring that the Duel have overtaken, it is no wonder that along the way the band have racked up supports with the likes of: UK Subs, Vice Squad, Angie Bowie, Peter Hook, Buzzcocks, Sham 69, The Vibrators, Dead Kennedys, and Angelic Upstarts, to name just a few. Now armed with a brand new album entitled ‘All Aboard The Crazy Train’, and UK tour dates planned for the remainder of the year, the underground punk-rockers are geared to amp up their already commendable reputation.

Catch the band live: 8th October – Boston Arms, London; 9th November – 100 Club @ 100 Oxford St, London; and 12th November – The Fenton, Leeds.  Further shows to be announced, see for more.

The Wonder Years announced as support to Yellowcard / Saves The Day

The Wonder Years announced as support to Yellowcard / Saves The Day in Nov / Dec

The band will also play headline dates in Loughborough and Sheffield

The Wonder Years will be joining Yellowcard and Saves The Day on their co-headline tour of Europe in November/December. The band will also be playing a couple of headline shows of their own whilst over on these shores again.

Dan “Soupy” Campbell (vocalist in The Wonder Years) is certainly looking forward to playing shows with Yellowcard and Saves The Day. He says –“When I was 14, I stole a shopping cart and took it door to door collecting cans to win a radio contest so that Saves the Day would play my high school. We won. When I was 15, I saw Yellowcard play a church basement in Philadelphia. Sean, the violinist, back-flipped off the stage to the ground. To this day, it’s still one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen a band do. The Wonder Years have a long history of loving Saves the Day and Yellowcard. They influenced the band we are today and we couldn’t be more excited to get to join them on a tour through Europe.”

The Wonder Years recently completed a headline tour of the UK which saw them play sold out venues across the country. This followed a stint on the Vans Warped Tour in the US. Their last trip to the UK was earlier this year as part of the Kerrang! Tour but the band have toured here many a time, crossing the ocean totally off their own backs and enthusing their ever-growing fanbase with unique pop-punk brilliance time after time.

Inspired in part by Allen Ginsberg’s 1956 poem “America,” The Wonder Years’ new album Suburbia I’ve Given You All And Now I’m Nothing is an introspective, heartfelt, and honest journey that tells the story of a growing culture of people in America trying to find their place in the world without compromising the beliefs that make them who they are.  With intelligent lyrics accompanied by the catchy, raw, and driving pop punk that fans identify with The Wonder Years, Suburbia is both a cultural manifesto and a great summer album that will serve as the anthem for anyone questioning where home really is.  Suburbia I’ve Given You All And Now I’m Nothing, was produced, engineered and Mixed by Steve Evetts at Omen Room Studios, Garden Grove, CA.
