Since their inception in 2009, Manchester four piece Betraeus have gone from strength to strength developing their unique blend of atmospheric, progressive, death metal. With the average age of 19, their fusion of chopping riffs and blasting rhythms with intense atmosphere creates an epic metal experience that is mature well beyond their years, making them one of the UK’s most exciting underground bands.

In 2010 Betraeus successfully made their way to play the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock Open Air with the likes OpethChildren Of BodomDevin Townsend and more. They also played an intricate acoustic set on the Jagermeister stage at the festival, showcasing the diversity of their music. A year of UK touring and high profile shows with the likes of Blaze Bailey and Beholder followed, with the band most recently destroying the The Pepsi Max stage at Download festival this year.

Scheduled for a November release across all digital platforms, ‘Towards The Sun’ is an absolute must have for fans of OpethDeathCynicBloodbath andInsomnium, and features two live tracks from their performance at Bloodstock.
