Ascending Brit-noise crew FATHOMS make their debut EP ‘Transitions’ a free release!‏

FATHOMS THE FAST RISING UK HARDCORE NUTS ARE GIVING AWAY THEIR DEBUT EP FOR FREE!

South coast Melodic Hardcore crew ‘Fathoms’ are set to break with their ear-shattering debut EP ‘Transitions’.

Since their inception at the end of 2010, Brighton bruisers ‘Fathoms’ have already comprehensively toured throughout the UK, bagging tour slots with the likes of Polar, Dividing The Silence, Final Crisis, and Napoleon, as well as racking up shows with Legend and Set Your Goals. Merging passion with belligerence, Fathoms offer their candid hearts and naked guts to an audience, ensuring that every show is full of energy and raw honesty, an admirable quality given the sheer influx of present-day metal bands who seem to lack true fervour. Fathoms’ shows are impassioned events that are both full-blooded and vigorous.

After persistent touring, the band decided to lock themselves down in the recording studio to cut tracks for their debut record; the end result is their explosive debut EP ‘Transitions’ which is set to break the high-flying scamps from the underground. A true corker of a release, ‘Transitions’ is rammed with gut-wrenching vocal growls and vicious guitar parts, melding powerful modern metal with gritty hardcore. The record showcases the band’s astute ability to fuse and merge genres, despatching intoxicating songs that extract influence from a variety of areas, from the technical guile of fellow home-towners ‘Architects’ to the fierce power of ‘Ghost Inside’.

The opening track on the EP ‘All Roads Lead To Here’ is big and ballsy and an ideal sampler for the shape of things to come. ‘Middle Ground’ features Chad Ruhlig from Legend and is one of the many highlights of the EP, and the new video single ‘The Greater Good’ (which can be seen here -

) rounds off an impressive debut that is sure to elevate the fiery noise-mongers to a national level.

Fathoms will hit the road yet again this Autumn in support of their thunderous EP ‘Transitions’. You have been duly warned; the band are poised for great things in 2013.

FLY THIS FOR ME TO RELEASE DEBUT RECORD AND VIDEO, PLUS TOUR NEWS

FLY THIS FOR ME ANNOUNCE MONSTER DEBUT RECORD  AND SPANKING VIDEO WITH A TOUR ON THE HORIZON!

Guildford based Melody-Punksters Fly This For Me hurl out their breathtaking debut EP ‘Making Shadows’ on 16th July 2012 available through iTunes and Spotify.

Pitching the bone-crushing power and dexterity of the Foo Fighters against the earnest drive of Alexisonfire, and rounded off with the hooks of Blink 182, Fly This For Me genuinely offer a fresh take on the currently over-saturated punk-pop genre.

Although Fly This For Me officially formed and honed their sound in late 2011 out of the leafy suburbs of Surrey, the band members have migrated from all over the UK; Sean (Guitar/ Vocals) hails from South Wales, Tim (Lead Vocals) is primarily from Yorkshire (although has been known to have routes in various other corners of the globe), Hannah (Bass/Vocals) comes from Oxfordshire, George (Guitar/Vocals) originates from Essex, and Joe (Drums/ Vocals) is homegrown and resides in Guildford.

Over the past year, the animated upstarts have toured throughout the UK serving up a sound that is a hearty combination of heavy, gritty guitar parts laced with inter-woven harmonies and vocals delivered with true belief. Along the way, the five-some have amassed an impressive following and have already cut their teeth supporting the likes of Blitz Kids, Feed the Rhino, Lost Boys, Marines, Eager Teeth, fiN, and POLAR, to name just a few.

Fly This For Me are now ready to up the ante with the release of their debut record, ‘Making Shadows’. The lively quintet have marked Monday 16th July as the national release date for their record, which is an enticing hook heavy affair that brims with alluring harmonies and boasts a cluster of earnest and driving tracks. From the delectable catchy opening of ‘She Said,’ to the scathing dynamism of ‘Rock Bottom’, the record showcases the band’s raw sincerity. And the title track (and first single) ‘Making Shadows’, has a contagious refrain that will need to be prised from the inside of your head. With a UK tour lined up for the summer, the band are poised to make a name for themselves by the end of the year.

The new video ‘Making Shadows‘ is the first single from the EP and was released 1st April through the RedBull Bedroom Jam competition -
