CRY HAVOC ‘New Life EP’, out 15th April.‏

High-Octane UK Metal rockers ‘Cry Havoc’ unleash their greatly anticipated debut EP ‘New Life’ on Monday 15th April 2013, available through all good online outlets.

Cry Havoc Online Promo ShotFlaunting an invigorating fusion of heavy metal, crafted by the power of Pantera, the swagger of Skid Row, and the attitude of Guns ’N’ Roses in their prime, Cry Havoc are here to spread their own concoction of Heavy Metal to the masses in 2013!
Born and bred in British South, Cry Havoc are a group of degenerates dead set on conquering the UK heavy metal scene. Comprised of the vocal power of Gavin Bolt, Tristan Gaskell cutting up guitar riffs, Chris ‘Crypt’ Lawman supplying Rhythm Guitar, Billy Kirk on bass, and Eliott Lipscombe pounding on the beats, the energetic five-piece have already created quite a stir for their raucous live shows, as Metal Hammer reviewer, Dom Lawson, concurs “Frontman Gav is running from one side of the stage to the other, bare-chested and swivel-eyed, and generally going berserk. [They] are treating their performance as if it were a headlining slot at Wembley.” Further, commenting about the bands’ recent explosive sold-out set at Hammerfest III, Lawson adds that “Cry Havoc churned out a splendidly raw and brutish din”. Cry Havoc’s live shows have also been described as an explosion of the senses, bringing the band to be described as the ‘illegitimate child of Pantera and Guns N’ Roses’. Highly driven on Sex, Jägermeister, and Rock N’ Roll, they own the stage—and no one can prise it from them!
With the live side of Cry Havoc firmly accomplished, and with recent successful supports with Gus G’s Firewind, The Dirty Youth, The Defiled, Revoker, Malefice, Warrior Soul, Jettblack, Voodoo Six, and Romeo Must Die, the metal rockers decided to hit the recording studio to begin work on their much anticipated debut record. The band headed to the renowned Nott-In-Pill Studio to lay down four tracks with the prestigious producers Martyn “Ginge” Ford and Matthew Bond, who have previously worked with Bullet For My Valentine, Slipknot, Trivium, and Skindred. Cry Havoc came out the studio armed with their stunning debut EP ‘New Life’. Loaded with crushing riffage capable of bursting arteries, the record is ram-packed with contagious hooks, driving rhythms, and ravenous riffs, and is an absolute must for any true heavy metal fan!

WAKING THEO let loose ‘Reborn’ EP, on Monday 11th February‏

YORKSHIRE METAL WAKING THEO COMBO RELEASE STUNNING NEW RECORD!

Hotly-tipped Northern metal crew ‘Waking Theo’ are primed to break out to the nation with their explosive new EP ‘Reborn’, which hits stores on Monday 11th February 2013.

Relentless and uncompromising, soaring and intricate, Waking Theo weld the brutal to the beautiful, creating music that distinctively walks the tight rope between the extreme and the accessible. With a vast cross-section of influences, stemming from classic thrash and metal through to modern-day melodic death and metalcore, Waking Theo carve out a sound that is undoubtedly their own.

Born in 2006 and busting out of the Yorkshire wilderness, the irrepressible quintet are 100% committed to the execution and construction of their craft. Through extensive gigging and intense rehearsing, Waking Theo have finely tuned their live show, which has led to them being selected for support slots with names such as While She Sleeps, Bleed from Within, Malefice, Trigger the Bloodshed, and many more. Not to mention the fact that the band were hand-picked for this year’s Bloodstock festival, where they eagerly showcased new material to a packed tent of avid metal fans.

But the road to rock stardom is rarely a smooth one, and changes in personnel have slightly hindered Waking Theo’s rise. In early 2012, the band parted ways with their original singer/co-founder soon after the release of their second EP ‘Ghost in the Machine’. The decision was based on the band’s unwavering drive and desire to make a solid impact on the modern day metal scene. Soon after, Waking Theo welcomed aboard Craig Gordon, a passionate and skilled vocalist who now fully completes the current line-up.

Now as an invigorated and revitalised unit. Waking Theo are set to firmly stamp their mark on the Brit metal scene as evidenced by their brand new 3 track EP ‘Reborn’, out this February. From the blistering opening of  their new video single ‘To the Lions’, to the whiplash riffery of ‘Downcast’, onto the track title ‘Reborn’, which heartily displays Craig Gordon’s immense vocal prowess, suitably bolstered by his compatriots’ weighty depth and impressive layering, it’s clear that Waking Theo have arrived. And with a full length album schedule for the later Spring, there’s nothing holding them back this time.

TRACKLISTING: 1. To The Lions; 2. Downcast; 3. Reborn.

KILL the CONVERSATION TO UNLEASH THEIR NEW RECORD AND STUNNING NEW VIDEO

Southern Metal nuts ‘Kill The Conversation’ drop their ball-breaking new EP ‘Farewell For The Last Time’ on 4th September. Merging intense brutality and absorbing dynamics, it’s a forceful piece of real engaging metal.

Kill The Conversation were originally born at the tail-end of 2009 in Dorchester by five fiery individuals intent on crafting a sound that would inspire and attack the senses. Subsisting on a hearty diet of gargantuan riffs and pummelling hooks, Kill The Conversation have etched a sound that is both brutal and hard-hitting, yet still inventive; and that’s no easy task given the present over-saturation within the metalcore/metal genres. The band draw comparison to August Burns Red, Bring Me The Horizon, The Devil Wears Prada, and Parkway Drive; although they’ve pulled from their influences, they’ve still managed to create a sound uniquely their own.

After a series of sweat-drenched UK shows throughout the south, sharing stages with Sepultura, Rise To Remain, Malefice, Revoker, and Anterior, and the release of their debut EP ‘Figure Of Speech’ which helped to lay key foundations for the band, Kill The Conversation have emerged from the underground with their new EP, ‘ Farewell For The Last Time ‘. The record is stuffed with pounding cuts and weaving dynamism and it’s definitely not for the meek. ‘Farewell For The Last Time’ is a potent piece of modern metal, displaying five ferocious tracks that are sure to thrust the band to the vanguard of the UK metal scene.

The band will also be releasing their stunning new video ‘Fold’, watch this space for further details.

BLOOD OF THE SPECTRE announce date of debut self-titled EP.

UK Extremists ‘Blood Of The Spectre’ unveil their anticipated debut self-titled EP, out on Monday 25th June.

Since their formation at the later part of 2009, Blood Of The Spectre have destroyed stages throughout England with their face-melting concoction of modern metal laced with entwining technical guitar passages and bone-crushing breakdowns.

Although they may tip their hats to a host of varied influences mapping from Viatrophy and Black Dahlia Murder to Sylosis and Tesseract, the progressive quintet endeavour to etch their individual signature on an increasingly stigmatized genre. Approaching their musical output with nothing less than serious intent, Blood of the Spectre thrive on ballsy originality.

Formed in Hampshire, Nick (Vocals), Larry (Drums), Rich (Guitar), and Tom (Bass) all met in school, where they shared an unbridled and mutual passion for metal. Dom (Guitar) joined the ranks last year and the hardworking fivesome have not looked back since. The innovative noisenuts began to find their feet playing a host of sweat-drenched hardcore shows around the Southampton and Basingstoke area. Soon after, they began marking their stamp on the nation’s highways, playing a cluster of fleapits as far afield as Northern England through to the depths of Wales, supporting the likes of Evita, Touché Amore, Monuments, Malefice, and even, You Me At Six and The Blackout, along the way.

The rowdy crew aspire for new heights with their brand new self-titled EP, which is an utter beast of a record. From the compelling weaving riffery of ‘Darkened Majesty’, through to the dynamic and eerie conclusion of ‘End Era’, it’s an impressive EP that has enough power and precision to level an apartment block. There’s now nothing stopping Blood Of The Spectre from earning a prominent place within the UK Metal hierarchy. Watch this space!

ZOLTAR SPEAKS to release ‘Treatment’ EP on11th June

High flying Female-fronted Brit-Metallers ‘Zoltar Speaks’ release their stunning debut EP ‘Treatment’, on Mon 11th June & prepare for UK touring.

Emerging from the rural plains of Somerset, Zoltar Speaks hurl out fiery jack hammer riffs boned with enticing refrains. The South West melodic metal crew offer a sound that is both hugely captivating and anthemic. Fronted by enigmatic vocalist Louise Body and featuring Ollie Smith and Jason Coles (guitars), with Shane Yard on bass and Ben Dean supplying thunderous beats, Zoltar Speaks are a powerhouse metal unit that are braced for national domination.

Drawing from the thrashcore belligerence of Pantera meshed with the attitude of Skunk Anansie, and laden with the technical innovative zest of Coheed and Cambria, Zoltar Speaks have twisted a style uniquely their own and unleash it to devastating effect.

Since bursting on to the UK scene in 2009, Zoltar Speaks have quickly built a formidable following achieved by widespread touring throughout Southern England and Wales, notching up supports along the way with Malefice and Sworn To Oath. At the back-end of 2011, Zoltar Speaks entered the recording studio to lay down their debut record, entitled ‘Treatment’. The rising Brit-metal crew came out of the studio with an ear-shattering debut offering that’s filled with brutal riffs, impassioned lyrics and kinetic energy, from the opening anthemic hard-hitting groovage of ‘A Metaphor’ through to the rampantly punchy delivery of ‘The Best Revenge’, and ending on the supremely tuneful ‘Treatment’. Zoltar Speaks will exact your absolute attention, and rightly so. The industrious fivesome are now poised to continue their climb through the ranks and are poised to broaden their reach.
