Blood Red Shoes unleash incredible muscle-bulging video for ‘In Time To Voices’

Blood Red Shoes unleash their incredible new video for the single ‘In Time to Voices’ which is released on August 27th via V2/Co-Operative Music

Blood Red Shoes guitarist and vocalist Laura-Mary Carter arm wrestles one of the UK’s most successful body builders in their stunning new video for ‘In Time To Voices’, their brand new single that is released on Monday 27th August via V2/Co-Operative Music.

The Beauty and the Beast style arm-wrestling match held in a seedy backroom bar sees Laura-Mary take on muscle man Craig Lee who sits firm at number 11 in the rankings of the most successful body builders in the UK.

Shot like a film by director Craig Murray, with practical effects by Sunita Parmer (Hobbit, Harry Potter, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) and additional foley work from Adam Mendez (Slumdog Millionaire, Judge Dread, 127 Hours), Laura-Mary fights her way out of a male dominated situation whilst drummer Steven Ansell cleans up the bets once his singer does the dirty work with a swift (and sore looking) high heel move.

Speaking on how this came to fruition, Ansell says: “We got in touch with an old friend of ours, Craig Murray, who we’ve known for years from the punk scene but never worked with before…. his first video for us is our favourite one to date! No surprise really as punk rockers always do it better.”

Check out the video below:

‘In Time To Voices’ is the third single and title track to be released from Blood Red Shoes’ critically-acclaimed album that was released earlier this year. This rocking, upbeat track was written by Laura-Mary whilst Steven “popped out to the shops to buy more wine” and is the only Blood Red Shoes track to ever have a guitar solo.

The Brighton duo play the main stage at both Reading and Leeds Festivals this weekend which is nothing short of an honour for both of them:

Since we first played Reading and Leeds in 2007 we’ve seen stacks of hype bands come and go, appearing and disappearing overnight. Meanwhile, in that 5 years we’ve made 3 albums, played hundreds and hundreds of shows all over the world and have built a fan base the old school way. Getting to play the main stage this year is a teenage dream come true but more than that, we feel like we’ve earned it. We’ve earned our shot at playing to way more people than ever before. We are not gonna disappoint!

‘In Time To Voices’ is out now. You can see the band live on their European tour in October with The Gaslight Anthem. Blood Red Shoes also headline the Shepherds Bush Empire in London on January 22nd. EDEN’S CURSE Release Video Footage Of DOKKEM Festival Performance Online‏

Multinational melodic metallers EDEN’S CURSE have posted a 9-minute fan video featuring performance footage from the band’s June 30 appearance at the DOKK’EM Open Air Festival 2012 at Dokkum, Netherlands. Check it out below:

The line-up features: Marco Sandron – Vocals, Thorsten Koehne – Guitars, Paul Logue – Bass, Pete Newdeck – Drums and Alessandro Del Vecchio

- Keyboards

EDEN’S CURSE earlier in the year announced the addition of Italian singer Marco Sandron to the group’s ranks. Hailing from Portgruaro, 50 miles from Venice, in the northeast of Italy, Marco previously sang for Italian progressive metal act PATHOSRAY, who released their self-titled debut on Sensory Records in 2007 and their sophomore CD, “Sunless Skies“, on Frontiers Records in 2009. That same year he also contributed lead vocals to French symphonic metal outfit FAIRYLAND’s “Score To A New Beginning” album, which was released on Napalm Records.

Time To Breathe“, the latest single and promotional video from EDEN’S CURSE, can be seen below. The clip was shot on location at Sky Park in Glasgow with director Simon J. Gillespie of Music Video Scotland.

Time To Breathe” video

Written by Paul Logue and Pete Newdeck, “Time To Breathe’s” lyrics are very topical, as Newdeck explains. “The lyrics stem from the current financial crisis grippling society today and the ignorance people have to what we are doing to ourselves and this awesome world we live in,” he says. “We need to buy ourselves time or it will be too late to put it all right.”

Director Simon Jake Gillespie of Music Video Scotland explains the concept behind the video: “As well as capturing the band performance, we wanted to portray the lyrical concept in a visual manner by showing four different people from four different walks of life uniting together to help each other escape from a situation. This symbolizes what we perceive needs to happen in society today to work our way out of the mess we have found ourselves in globally.”

A snippet of the demo version of “Losing My Faith“, a brand new song from EDEN’S CURSE, can be streamed using the SoundCloud player below. The track will appear on the band’s forthcoming fourth studio album, which will be recorded later in the year.

OURFAMOUS DEAD unleash new Video / Single ‘Claws At The Door’ this Monday!‏

BRIT-ROCKERS OURFAMOUS DEAD RELEASE NEW SINGLE AND WORK ON DEBUT ALBUM!

Rising Rampant Electro-rockers ‘Ourfamous Dead’ drop new single ‘Claws At The Door’ on Monday 2nd July 2011, through all digital stores and prepare for ascent.

Pulling from the likes of ‘My Passion’, ‘The Blackout’, and ‘Enter Shikari’, Ourfamous Dead have arrived to feed their contagious warped brand of Hi-Octane electro-rock to the masses!

Born in the latter part of 2009 and hailing from Leeds. Ourfamous Dead are rapidly finding new fans and racking up critical national acclaim for their highly-paced melodic electronic punk. The Yorkshire road warriors have widely toured throughout the UK sharing stages with everyone from ‘Evarose’, ‘Atlas & I’, ‘Dave McPherson (INME)’, and ‘Tyler Mae’, through to ‘Funeral for a Friend’, ‘ISPYSTRANGERS’, ‘Gallows’, and ‘The Blackout’. To assist their climb in becoming a fresh face for the exciting breed of Brit-rock hopefuls, the electro-rock crew released their debut EP ‘I Am Human’ at the tail end of 2011. The record notched up widespread national coverage and sparked many reviews, including a glowing endorsement from Rock Sound Magazine, hailing the band as an ‘infectious amalgamation of AFI and Lost Prophets’.

Ourfamous Dead are now braced to take the UK scene by the scruff of its neck. The dynamic quintet release their brand new single ‘Claws At The Door’ this July; the single is lifted from the band’s eagerly awaited debut album (due for release at the end of the year). Showcasing OFD’s growing maturity and song writing guile, ‘Claws At The Door’ is more anthemic than their previous work, undoubtedly pushing the boundaries and adeptly exploring the use of twisted dynamics and weaving structures. The video for ‘Claws At The Door’ certainly looks the part too; filmed in a dilapidated old theatre, the video is set to light up TV screens during the coming weeks.

Russian melodic ethno/death metallers SHTURM release music video for ‘Eagles Above Tibet’

Russian melodic ethno/death metallers SHTURM have released the music video for the track ‘Eagles Above Tibet’ taken from their new album Karmaruna.
The band comment: “The video’s full of symbols and ideas, so its sense may be not very clear for you – we’ll be happy to answer your questions!

The video’s and song’s ideas are different at first sight. The song itself tells us about how compassionate may be human’s heart even after great ties of exile, wars and humiliation. It also tells us about how important is
freedom for everyone of us all! The video consists of few scenes in which the wise Buddhist parables are shown. We suppose their sence may be quite urgent for many people today, so the video may appear interesting for you!”

PROMETHEE ‘Sickness Unto Death’, out now.‏

SWISS SLAYERS PROMETHEE RELEASE STUNNING SINGLE!

Rising noiseniks Promethee  unleash brand new video single ‘Sickness unto Death’ nationally, and is available now!

Taking from the likes of Job For A Cowboy’ and The Black Dahlia Murder, and combining the melodic death metal guile of ‘Darkest Hour’, Promethee have developed their original, yet brutal noise-fest.

Hailing from Geneva, Switzerland, Promethee were formed in 2008 by three lifelong friends, Ludo, Nils, and Elric, who sowed the early seeds for the band but they soon drafted in Josh and Mathieu in as they looked to solidify their line-up. The metal crew began to play shows throughout Switzerland, and by 2010, the five-some had made tour tracks throughout France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, and Hungary, including an influential appearance at the Greenfield Festival playing alongside HIM, Rammstein, The Prodigy, and The Dillinger Escape Plan, among others. Never ones to stand still, Promethee continued their ascent by securing a mini-tour in Canada before releasing their debut EP which racked up critical acclaim throughout the UK and mainland Europe.

Promethee are now back in the saddle with their stunning new single and video ‘Sickness unto Death’; this gem of a track is a vicious cut and real statement of intent— a powerful marker for what’s to come from the band’s full length debut album, out early 2013.
